This year for the first time, Allied Pumps attended the Africa Mining INDABA 2017 conference hosted in Cape Town, South Africa.
The conference, which has been running for over 20 years, is the world’s largest gathering of the most influential stakeholders in African mining dedicated to the successful development of mining interests in Africa. The event unites more than 6,000 delegates from global mining and exploration companies, international investors, African and non-African governments, and a wide range of service providers including:
Alongside commercial and economic interests, the conference is also dedicated to social impact, supporting education, career development, sustainable development, and other important causes in Africa.
With Guest Speakers including ‘Dr Mukhisa Kituyi’, the Secretary General and Former Minister of Trade and Industry UNCTAD and Republic of Kenya and the Global Economist and Author, ‘Ms Dambisa Moyo’, the conference provided a vast array of varying contacts and networking possibilities with companies and key individuals that would have otherwise taken years of negotiating, back and forth communications and hard work to gain access to. This is and was a conference that anyone wanting to break ground in the Mining sector was welcome to attend.
Allied Pumps found Mining INDABA highly informative and an extremely rewarding experience that may open up a new range of opportunities for us and our stakeholders. We already are looking forward to attending the 2018 conference with a continuing goal of expanding our current relationships and continuing to network and develop new connections.
