Our BESS can operate independently to provide silent, zero-emission power or be integrated with grid electricity, diesel generators, solar arrays or a combination of power sources.Â
In hybrid applications, the system reduces generator runtime, improves operating efficiency, and helps maintain stable power during changing load conditions.
Available in containerised, cabinet and rack-mounted configurations, each system can be tailored to suit the site’s energy demand, available space and operational requirements.
This project was the result of a need to facilitate communication between two pump stations. One was located at Denmark High School; the other at Riverside Club. This project included supply, installation, and commission of control equipment. The objective was to pause the operation of the Riverside Club pump station when one of the pumps at the high school was operating. A dialler system was used to sync these two locations. We delivered the solution to connect these two systems which increased the efficiencies of the solutions.
The National Anzac Centre is one of Australia’s most important cultural pilgrimages. Located within Albany’s heritage listed Princess Royal Fortress, the centre overlooks the actual harbour from which over 41,000 men and woman departed Australia for the Great War. The project required a complete sewage system in a short amount of time. The system needed to handle minimal sewage flow but be prepared for high peak loadings. This is often hard to deliver, but our systems delivered a solution to ensure optimal operation.
Our client required new potable water and fire water storage tanks to be manufactured onsite. The location is particularly close to the harbour shoreline and situated in the category 5 cyclone region, which means winds can be in excess of 280 km per hr. This impacted every facet of design. We had extensive contact with suppliers to find alternative products that could withstand the aggressive environmental location. The process included a search for tank wall, nuts, and bolts all the way through to paints and roofing materials. We successfully installed all the equipment on schedule, within a 3 week period with no major disruptions or safety incidents. The tank construction was guaranteed for 25 years. The client was very satisfied with the end solution.
Royal Perth Hospital is a 450-bed teaching hospital located on the north-eastern edge of the CBD of Perth in Western Australia. The project started with a site visit by us. We measured and discussed the design needs for the fire pump set refurbishment. The first step was to disable and remove the existing system. This removal was the same day as the new system’s delivery so there was no site storage required. The new system was then installed in one day. This was a quick turnaround time, and we were able to meet the timeframe to ensure minimal downtime.
Allied Pumps recently provided 2 Circular Colour Finished Steel Water Storage Tanks to a client near the edge of the water at the Kwinana Bulk Jetty. This area of Cockburn Sound is of significant economic and social importance as it facilitates trade to Western Australia and the nation. It is also subjected to very high winds (almost cyclonic during bad weather events) so special design considerations had to be incorporated into the tank design and construction. The tanks were constructed to 3mm in thickness all over (instead of the normal 3mm on the bottom strake and 1.95mm on the others). The tanks were fitted with harness points on the roof and installed with 2 SWAH doors per tank (normally one). The tanks were also powder coated in colorbond Off White finish to fit in with the surroundings.
Blockages occur fairly regularly at Graylands Hospital, Western Australia’s largest mental health facility. Objects and clothing were often being introduced into the plumbing system. With 1,053 fixtures, the system needed help breaking up these foreign objects. Two of their grinder pumps were not properly handling foreign objects. After much investigation, the most practical option was to install a channel grinder in the existing mechanical screening pit. We designed specialised guiderails from 316 stainless steel. They were built in-house to suit the existing concrete structure. This solved the issue and eliminated peak flow blockages. The system has now been up and running for 24 months with no issues.
The Australian Embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia required a water supply system. Because of its location, this was a very unique project. The spec required the materials to be stainless steel and fibreglass to resist corrosion. The site also needed a controller to monitor and operate water supply valves to fill tanks for use at the building. The three water supplies were the result of rainwater runoff from the roof, bore pumps and mains piping. To ensure that the specs were met, the valves were programmed to operate depending on the supply availability. The competing requirements of this project as well as working in a foreign environment created a number of challenges. We were able to rise to the challenge, through our strong organisational skills and execution of work.
Formed in 1905 to obtain, treat and distribute water supplies, the Bunbury Water Board has served the people of Bunbury for over 100 years. The city’s early settlers knew of water stored naturally underground and tried to use it to replace the Collie River and the Preston River, which were the only sources of water for drinking in those days. We supplied the first variable speed system to the water authority. It’s still being used today.
Allied Pumps rises to the challenge. Could we produce 20 relocatable bore head works, which could last for a minimum of 20 years and be compliant with wind loading requirements AS1170.2, for a wind region A4 quickly? Being headquarted in Western Australia, with extensive stock holdings, not only do we understand harsh conditions we were able to gear up quickly and meet the clients deadline.
We were recently involved in supplying fire protection for Perth Airport. View the video to see the testing DFES conducted at the facilities in March 2017.
Yes, Allied Pumps’ BESS is designed for applications including water bores, transfer stations, treatment facilities and pressure systems. The correct battery capacity depends on the pumps’ combined load, operating profile, and required runtime.
Yes, solar arrays can be integrated with the BESS to recharge the batteries, reduce fuel use, and support low-emission operation in remote or off-grid locations.
The Allied Pumps’ BESS comes equipped with intelligent battery monitoring, thermal runaway detection, fire-inhibiting fluid injection, Stat-X fire suppression, environmental alarms, door alarms, and external emergency-stop controls.
Yes, when correctly integrated, the Allied Pumps’ BESS can provide backup support and improve resilience during interruptions or instability in the electricity supply.
The Allied Pumps’ BESS includes modular capacities of 140 kWh, 212 kWh and 318 kWh. The most appropriate size will depend on the site’s connected load and required operating duration.
